Epstein acquired a more modest island - Little St James - originally in the late 1990s, but acquired the bigger Great St James in 2016 for a sum of $22.5 million.
The released images reveal he had drawn up plans to build upon the 161-acre island by building homes, an amphitheatre, an office beneath the waves and a swimming pool.
Marked on the blueprint is Pillsbury Sound, a strait in the US Virgin Islands, marked on the lower right-hand corner.
The architectural drawing is marked up in notations in red and contains a key detailing different parts of the estate.
Accompanying this are what appear to be several other property layouts and architectural plans, including layouts for marina coverings.
